It’s strange that such reactions from an actor of such maturity and caliber but if he says it was in good humour then I would like to believe him, he is totally worth the trust.

I totally agree with Somya. This was not expected from Aamir, who has always been known for keeping clean of controversies. If he says he was kidding, well, I guess we should give him the benefit of doubt, because I really can’t think of any other plausible reason. Aamir has hardly ever cared for publicity or the number game. So it’s unlikely that he felt a surge of professional rivalry or jealousy towards SRK’s success, as a lot of enraged SRK fans are opining. However, the humor wasn’t really in good taste.

Indeed it was strange to have Aamir Khan saying all that. He is a thorough gentlemen in whatever he does and it is one of those rare blemishes for which we should probably forgive him. It also speaks well for Shahrukh who didn’t utter a word on the entire issue. Or maybe he is too busy arguing with the Knight Riders Captain, Saurav Ganguly.
